The Starbucks China deal is fascinating timing, espcially with how many Western brands are rethinking their China stratgies. Trip's $40M raise shows how much appetite there is for functional beverages right now. Wayfair testing smaller formats makes total sense when you look at how much physical retail is about experince and discovery, not just transactions. The Lucky Energy funding also caught my eye, seems like the energy drink space still has room for new players if they can diferentiate.
